Testing. Our school administers the online NWEA MAP Growth testing program to students in Grades K-8. MAP Growth is given three times each year to measure academic growth in reading and math.

ACADEMICS and TESTING

Learning and Instruction at St. John’s:

  • are faith-based

  • enable students to be active in their learning

  • recognize and celebrate individual differences and creativity

  • encourage growth of the whole child

  • create a collaborative process among teachers, students, families, and the community

  • focus on both content and skills

Students attending St. John's consistently score above the national average in standardized testing. Our 8th grade graduates are readily accepted into Lutheran High School South and all local high schools, often moving right into various honors and Advanced Placement classes.

We are committed to an excellent education for your child. Our curriculum meets or exceeds national and Missouri learning standards and it provides students with a Christian education that prepares them to live complete lives of service to God and others.

Religious Life. Students attend religion classes, participate in daily classroom devotions and prayers, and attend weekly chapels. The religion curriculum is based on Lutheran teachings; families of other Christian churches find that St. John’s provides great support to raise their children in the Christian faith.
